With there being so many iPod/iPhone docks around, it takes something rather special in terms of docking stations to get a dock featured here on EP, but this conceptual iPod Touch and iPhone docking cradle, known as the E-Pod, designed by Eun Seok Huh, certainly pushes all the right buttons as far as we’re concerned.
Whilst unashamedly modern, the E-Pod also boasts somewhat retro appeal in seemingly being unashamedly inspired by microphones of old (circa 1950’s), and, as well as boasting integrated speakers and alarm clock functionality, also comes with an in-built projection system allowing videos and images stored on a docked iPod Touch or iPhone to be projected onto walls – though the quality of any resulting projection in terms of image quality is something that we call into question.
Still, as a conceptual item, Eun Seok Huh’s E-Pod iPhone & iPod Touch Dock is intriguing and, whilst we accept that it may not be to everybody’s tastes, we would certainly have no hesitation in popping one of these on our desk.
