New York based designer Billy May’s Nike Hindsight shades (or sunglasses should you prefer) have been designed from the outset with cyclists squarely in mind – and, specifically, with their need to be ever alert to their surroundings.
Billed as offering cyclists ‘a pair of bifocals for their peripheral vision’ May’s Nike Hindsight shades utilise Frensnel lenses on the sides to assist cyclists in detecting motion in what the designer terms as ‘a field of view beyond the normal human limit of 180º’ thus, unlike that vast majority of eyewear, his serving to promote and enhance situational awareness whilst looking decidedly cool.
Unfortunately, Billy May’s Nike Hindsight shades are merely a concept as at the time of writing but if we were Nike we’d snap these up asap.
