This interesting take on alarm clocks by designer Lisa Toepfer, known as the SnoozeMe, in essence offers alarm clock functionality integrated into a cushion.
Sporting fabric buttons on its exterior, the SnoozeMe alarm clock cushion (or plushie for the pedantic amongst you) will play one of five selectable music tracks according to a user set time and, should you be one of those that always sets their alarm earlier than otherwise necessary just to ensure some of that blissful snooze time you’ll be glad to know that the SnoozeMe’s fabric snooze button is right their on the pillow so all you need to do is lay on it to give yourself a few minutes extra relaxation. That said, could this not be seen as a potential design flaw – could it not be that merely rolling over could set the snooze function in motion existentially?
Lisa Toepfer’s SnoozeMe interactive musical alarm cushion is at the conceptual stage as at the time of writing so is not commercially available.
