Well, if only time was as easy to come by as this (who doesn’t need more of it these days?). But, whilst this rather fetching solar powered analogue clock, which can be either table or wall mounted, will not, alas, give you more time it will, at least, assist you in watching as time seeps inexorably into the past using power from the Sun – which, in essence, makes a wholly poetic kind of sense.
We need the Sun to exist on Earth. Our period on Earth is measured by time. This clock uses the Sun’s rays to remind us not only of our place in time but of our time (and our lives) slowly slipping evermore away. It’s quite depressing actually, (the clock’s black, of course) but that aside, the beauty of this particular clock is, therefore, hard to ignore.
Of course, one other thing that dominates our lives is money and, in that respect, this timepiece will set you back $39. Frankly, it’s all put me in the mood to listen to a little Nick Drake.
