Aimed squarely, it would seem, at those looking for an iPod and iPhone docking station that dispenses with all the pizzazz of other iPod/iPhone docking stations in order to focus on the sound quality (though the lack of detail concerning the Samson StudioDock 4i’s frequency response seems somewhat of a curious omission), the Samson StudioDock 4i iPod/iPhone docking speakers do, at least, offer a host of connectivity options – including an integrated USB port facilitating the connection to your PC or Mac if required.
There’s no mention of a remote control, so controlling your trusty ‘Pod remotely is out of the question, but this, we suspect, is more than made up for in terms of sound quality thanks to the Samson StudioDock 4i’s 4” cone copolymer woofers and 25mm silk dome high-frequency drivers which offer a total output of 40W.
The Samson StudioDock 4i Apple iPod/iPhone Docking USB Speakers will set you back just shy of $200 at the time of writing.
