It’s been a while since we featured a wrist watch here on EP on account of the fact that we’ve simply not come across any watches of late that have that ‘certain something’ required to make it onto the site, so when we came across this concept wrist watch from the Swiss luxury watchmaker Franc Vila, known (in full) as the Franc Vila FVa Nº 6 Tourbillon Planétaire Skeleton SuperLigero Concept Watch we could barely contain our excitement.
Initially debuted at Baselworld 2008, details concerning the FVa Nº 6 Tourbillon Planétaire are a little on the sparce side but what is known is that the watch features a far from cheap aluminium-Lithium based alloy (normally used in the field of aeronautical engineering) mechanism known as the ‘Lightnium’ movement and that’s pretty much it.
No word as at the time of writing concerning either availability or pricing of this stunning timepiece but its safe to assume that if you have to ask you probably cannot afford it.
