Conceived of in response to a design brief proposing a modern LED desk clock that ‘tell time the way people do’, the Verbarius LCD Desk Clock dispenses completely with traditional clock design by displaying the time with words rather than numbers.
With phrases like ‘forty-five minutes past four’ and ‘fifteen minutes to five’ the Verbarius LCD Desk Clock offers the user a far more casual and humanistic relationship with time and is capable of displaying the time in any one of five languages with an inbuilt USB port allowing for additional languages to be uploaded via a PC.
The Verbarius LCD Desk Clock measures in at 200(w) x 70(h) x 42(d) mm and is available to pre-order for around $184 / €149 – though we should advise that its been locked at the ‘pre-order’ stage for some considerable time with no updates having been provided concerning actual release dates (which will be of little surprise to anyone familiar with the site concerned).

As early as that? Actually, you do have a point as we know they have somewhat of a reputation for showcasing products that may or may not appear within X amount of years. Which is a shame, as it does not enamor them to potential customers.
Incidentally, your comment is officially the first comment on the site from a reader and, by way of celebration (and thanks) I’d like to buy you a drink. Mail me via the site’s contact form as to how I can get enough for a few beers your way and I’ll be in touch.
