R2D2 Remote Controlled DLP Home Projection System

If you’re looking for a home projection system with somewhat more character than most, and you happen to be a Star Wars fan, then how about owning your own remote controlled R2D2 droid that not only offers DLP projection via the droid’s optical sensor but also comes complete with inbuilt DVD player and even an internal iPod docking station.

The R2D2 home projection droid can be remotely controlled via a Millennium Falcon control unit (yes, we’re serious), thus allowing you not only to move the droid from room to room but also turn its head and even tilt it on its legs so as to ensure that the projection is perfectly positioned.

And, as if that were not enough, the device also comes with a built in memory card reader allowing you to watch video clips directly from SD cards or view slideshows and picture albums across your walls.

Manufactured by Nikko, the R2D2 Remote Controlled DLP Home Projection System retails for ¥388000 (which is approximately $3160 / £1573 / €2333 at the time of writing).
